The legal staff of Immigration Equality answers thousands of calls and emails each year from LGBT and HIV-positive immigrants and their families. They answer questions and provide referrals and advocacy for binational couples, immigrants with HIV, transgender immigrants, LGBT detainees, and asylum-seekers. In addition, the legal team provides free pro bono representation to LGBT asylum-seekers who cannot afford a lawyer.
