Well.
What are you hoping to accomplish while here?
Learn about different lobbying strategies and pick up some information about the political and legislative processes.
Where are you from?
New Orleans
Who are you rooting for in the World Cup?
I root for the team that's playing against the team [fellow intern] Debbie wants to win.
What do you like most about DC?
Happy Hours constitute a culture here.
The least?
Metro fare hikes.
What neighborhood are you living in?
Rockville, Maryland
Any suggestions for interns trying to live in DC?
Live on the Red Line. Go to the museums. They're all free in DC.
What do you do in your free time?
Catch up on the Real Housewives of New Jersey and anxiously awaiting Jersey Shore (deuxieme partie).
What are you currently reading?
Bleak House by Dickens
Favorite TV show?
See above about free time
If you had one superpower what would it be?
No sweat glands. This DC heat is melting me.
What's the most surprising part of your internship?
I just saw [edited to keep peace]. She looks much better in person.
What's the hardest part?
Sitting in front the computer for hours. Due to my eye sight, I'm no longer eligible for the draft.
What's your interest in immigration rights?
Asylum and stateless persons.
How did you learn about Immigration Equality?

Yes
To whom would you recommend an Immigration Equality internship?
My friends. It's been a great learning experience thus far.
What are you planning next after your time with us?
Depends on the job. I am gay, and I am (was) an immigrant. Hopefully whatever I do in the future will allow me to link in these two backgrounds.
